Style Limitations

What are your limits when it comes to your style? Have you set boundaries for what you will or will not wear? Some people change their style based on their age. Are there really things that women of a certain age should no longer wear? Have you ever seen something you like but decided against it because of your size? Do you ask yourself questions like, "Should my arms show? Can I wear a short skirt? Is this too young for me?"

My main limitation is decency. I don't make my choices based on my age but I do make choices that are going to allow me to share my style, represent me, and keep it classy. Some people may think bright red locs are for young ladies but I don't listen. I show my arms (and shoulders) and I have skirts that are above the knee. I wear swim suits and I like form-fitting attire for certain occasions.

When I turned 50, I did not stop liking my clothes. I don't feel any different as a person so why should I adopt a whole new look just because I am seasoned? Disclaimer: These statements are made with the thought that I will still be appropriate and I do know that I am not 23 years old. The fact that you will not see me with my cheeks hanging out or dressing "half-naked" is not just because of my age. It is more a function of that is not my style anyway. The things I won't wear now are things I would not have worn back in the day either.

How do you decide what to wear? Is there a limit on the number of years of your life that your looks can stand out?

Tell me what you think about "seasoned style" in the comments.
